It is just one of those things that lives within us, a kink that itches and doesn't go away. I have tried vanilla relationships and although I can love a person there is always a frustration that knots your belly from time to time when you feel your partner could do with being thrown over in the bed or across a knee and given a dozen hard hand smacks and you know they don't engage in the same way naturally so you resist for not wanting to hurt that person.
I would like a standard relationship with someone in every way except the knowledge that I can take that person aside to a quiet place and explain why I am disappointed with a lecture and release my upset at the behaviour with a spank/spanking. This could be for example a quiet corner in public where a quick one smack over your clothes would happen and I would inform you what punishment was waiting when we got back home from our day/evening out.
Hard spanking to me means and the maximum I would deliver is with a belt, I don't like canes or very harsh punishment personally (certainly not blood but light bruising that fades in a couple of day's) it is more the psychological side of knowing you enjoy a spanking and sometimes be naughty on purpose that satisfies me.
Although I am mainly a spanker I am not perfect myself and make mistakes too, I would be more than willing to take a hard punishment too if you felt I was getting a bit too overconfident, cheeky or did something wrong although I may spank you straight after you deal with me for the cheek of it! lol
I also enjoy well thought out organised spankings, e.g. I tell you on Wednesday that on Friday night to relieve stress for the week that I am going to tie you to the bed put a pillow under your belly and redden your bum, of course this is the time for extra play once delivered :-D
